GREAT AUSTRALIAN BUSHWALK
Sunday September 9, 2007

The Great Australian Bushwalk is on again.

“This year Professor Ian Frazer is an ambassador for the event and Professor Frazer will be taking part in the Mt Greville walk that is being hosted by The National Parks Association Queensland Inc (NPAQ)” says NPAQ’s Executive Coordinator Elizabeth Sayers.

“It is fantastic to have Professor Frazer taking part in this year’s event” says Ms Sayers. “As someone who is so well known, Professor Frazer is an ideal role model in the campaign to encourage the community to become active and healthy. What better way is there to be active than to experience what nature has to offer in one of Queensland’s beautiful National Parks?” asks Ms Sayers.

If you miss out on taking part in the Mt Greville walk, the NPAQ will be holding other walks across South East Queensland including Flinders Peak; the Bunya Mountains; Venman Bushland National Park; the Glass House Mountains; Dularcha National Park; Brisbane Forest Park; Mapleton Forest Reserve and Cunninghams Gap. “Be quick, you must register in advance to secure your place to take part in the walks being offered” says Ms Sayers.

Go to the www.greataustralianbushwalk.org.au website and register today. All information about the walks can be obtained via the website, however if you prefer, contact the NPAQ office on 3367 0878.
