NPAQ supports cull of wild horses PDF Print
The EPA's cull of wild horses at Carnarvon was necessary. The eradication of non-native/feral animals is essential within the Carnarvon area and all Protected Area Estate in Queensland is essential. Wild horses damage fragile vegetation and impact on the ecosystems that native animals depend on for their survival and therefore their eradication is vital.  NPAQ fully supports the feral animal control program that the EPA is undertaking and we see it as a necessary management tool in the ongoing protection of our unique Protected Estate.
