Bird Group

One of the specialist activity groups is the birdwatching outings.
This is an active group of members which has a number of outings each year as shown in the calendar, conducted under the umbrella of the Outings Committee.

The walks are either arranged by a leader as a separate meet or conducted in conjunction with a general bushwalking outing. The venues selected are generally to places of special interest where there is a variety of birds to observe. A list of sightings is recorded for each outing.

The Arts Weekends:

These weekends have proved popular for several years now and the Leaders are looking forward to your company again next year. These weekends offer the opportunity to explore the wilderness through drawing, painting, photography, digital enhancing, clay, sculpture and environmental sculpture as well as a variety of craft directions.

All leaders on these weekends are respected artists in their fields and are happy to share their knowledge and love of nature. For beginners and advanced, this is an ideal opportunity to explore your talents with like-minded friends.
